I have never had the opportunity to dive into something that is so special and amazing to me, to show just how passionate I am about something as fascinating as a motorcycle, especially dirt bikes. The sound of a 2 Stroke and a 4 Stroke is so unique and amazing that even those who have had the privilege to ride and have these machines, look at me and think, "man, she's lost it". 2010 is a new beginning in my life, a time where I am not holding back anymore and living life to the fullest and grabbing hold of my dreams. I want to capture each moment through my lens, ride and experience everything for myself, and when you have found that special person that understands and wants to venture on this incredible new journey with you, there just is no holding back and this is the first chapter to one heck of an interesting story. When taking photographs, my goal is to always have someone look at a bike in a different way, through my eyes which portrays the passion and love I have for these machines. Horses (animals for that matter) will always be a part of my life, so will my motorcycles. I do not want to live life without either one, not anymore! |
| Not only is it amazing when you can decide which bloodlines you want to put together to "create" your own dream horse, it is even more incredible when you see how he grows up right in front of your eyes, develops his own little quirks and habits, how he at times taunts mom to see what he can get away with. The best is when he loves you back and gives with an innocence that is hard to understand by us humans. Horus is a very important part of my life, he learns from me on a daily basis, and in return I learn from him and share in a bond that is very hard to find. | I take what is broken or rendered useless or unfit by some and with love and understanding and incredible patience, heal invisible wounds and turn around to bring out the champion in each one of them. It does not matter if it is a horse, or a dog or a cat, they all deserve a second chance. Like innocent children, they do not have any choices. It is up to us to make good and treat them with respect and make sure they are taken care of. They trust and love unconditionally and always give back, so why can't we! It seems we have a lot to learn still.... |
| "mx4nam" translates "Motocross for Namibia", Namibia being the country where I was born and raised. Because of respect for my (at the time very conservative) parents I let go of the desire and dream to ride motorcycles when I was a teen, and instead set my focus on horses. But I did find a way to continue with my passion for motorcycles, through Photography It has been a long journey and after relocating to Georgia during 2008, here I am with my two new "babies", the amzing Honda XR200R, and a very peppy "little" Suzuki RM125, both my pride and joy! My biggest wish is to become more involved in the Motorcycle Industry, especially Motocross and Racing, so who knows where the roads will take us. I have come to meet some really amazing people who share my passion although some of them still think the bug bit me a little harder than most. You judge for yourself!...... |
